At 28 floors and 328 feet high it certainly is a challenge, the complex wiring infrastructure and mains distribution was huge as you would imagine in a building of such scale.
All services such as power, lighting, plant, lift motor rooms, air conditioning, etc were all identified, tested and marked for future use. Unusual items were also tested such as the roof mounted mobile phone and taxi-cab radio transmitters and that of the roof mounted window cleaning lift system which travels down the outside of the building and runs around the roof structure on train-like tracks.
The project was involved testing every piece of wiring within each floor, where instances of faults were located, they were rectified during the course of the testing, without the need to revisit the area.
Overall the project took in excess of 24 months to test, rectify and pass off all floors, a testament to the engineering capabilities of the EDS electrical team.
