Our 100 series of specialist pedestrian barrier gates are a popular option, in stainless steel and other finishes. They are often employed in high volume scenarios where ultimate durability or more complex customisation and bespoke accessories are needed.
The EDSUKBAP8 mechanical gate is designed to open through 90 degrees and return to the closed position under spring tension. The gate can open in the reverse direction in emergency situations by applying firm body pressure to the gate. The arm needs to be manually reset in this case. A simple adjustment negates this facility when it is used as an exit.The mechanical gate can be used to block off passageways and redirect people to paypoints or simply provides a means of orientation.
The mechanical gate has a mild steel body in bright chrome although other options such as RAL colour powder coating and satin chrome are available at extra cost. Arms are supplied between 500mm -1000mm (in 50mm increments) and have a white infil panel with directional signage. The option is available to have a full depth arm (767mm) with a perspex or white infil panel.
Gates are on 1060mm uprights. Standard finish bright chrome plate with white infil panel to arm. Before ordering calculate the gap minus 150mm for the arm length (e.g Gap = 750mm minus 150mm = arm length of 600mm) The arm direction is worked out by imagining you are standing behind the gate in which direction would the arm move if someone walked through? To your left or to your right? If it moves to the right order a right handed gate.
EDSUKBAP100A & Variants. The EDSUKBA100A mechanical gate offers an extremely effective yet economical access security solution. As reliable as it is practical, the mechanical gate is designed to be used in areas to positively indicate the entrance/exit flow and particularly suited where some element of basic security is required. The gate is designed to be open through 90 degrees and return to the closed position under spring tension.
Suitable for: Passenger Boarding Gates, Airports, Train Stations, Bus Stations, Coach stations, Ferry Terminals and other Travel Locations. Available in left handed and right handed configurations.
The Auto Pedestrian Gate EDSUKBAP9 is a cost effective and versatile solution to entrance control. It is an attractive gate which is feature packed to provide a flexible security solution and is particularly useful in areas of high footfall.
The Autogate can be utilised with many access control systems from a simple push button through to a bespoke control device (fire alarm or computer for example). The emergency breakout facility activates an audible and/or visual alarm and has an automatic reset. Intelligent software means that the Autogate will go into sleep mode if it cannot reset after 3 attempts.
Arms are available in 500mm-900mm (by 50mm increments) or in full depth for increased security. Sensor options are wide from a single photocell front eye to overhead sensors. There is an option for rear safety fields to be added and multiple gate layouts to be designed.
EDSUKBAP8 - Mechanical Emergency Exit Gate - The Emergency Exit Gate is ideal for use in areas where barriers would prevent access to emergency exit doors. The gate arm will open in the exit direction through 90 degrees only under the preset pressure and will remain open until manually reset.
The Emergency Exit Gate is available with a standard gate arm or with a support leg. The base of the leg has a wheel fitted for smooth operation when opening. a range of No Entry and Emergency Exit signs is available. The Emergency Exit Gate has a mild steel body in bright chrome, although other finishes are available (RAL colour of choice or Satin Chrome). Arms are available in 500mm - 1000mm in 50mm increments. There is an option to fit a full depth arm with either a perspex or white infil panel. For an audible or visiual indicator a flashing top light which operates 24v DC or alarm is a factory fitted extra. The alarm is fitted to the main upright and controlled by a 12v DC transformer. Manual breakout is available in cases of emergency and requires to be manually reset.
The EDSUKBAP8 Bi-Directional Mechanical Gate is a practical and effective access security solution. The Bi-Directional Mechanical Gate is economical and ideally suited to areas where traffic flow needs to be in both directions but maximum security is not required.
The Bi-Directional Mechanical Gate is designed to open through 180 degrees and allows free passage in both directions but returns to a closed position under spring tension. The body is mild steel in bright chrome (other options available on request; RAL colour of choice, satin chrome). Arm lengths are available from 500mm -1000mm an in 50mm increments. Optional full depth arms (767mm) can be added complete with white or perspex infil panel.

EDSUKBAP12 - Mechanical Key or Lift Up Lock Gate - The Mechanical Key or Lift Up Lock Gate is reliable and practical. It is used to positively restrict entrance / exit of customers but allow controlled access for members of staff. It is particularly suited to areas where maximum security is not required. This type of gate is ideal for areas where access is limited or used occasionally. The gate is designed to open through 90 degrees and return to the closed position under spring tension. There are two locking devices which can be added toa standard mechanical gate to secure it.
Lift Up Lock Gate - A small lock is fitted to the gate barrel and requires a lift up action to allow the arm to be moved and access gained. The fitting of the lock does not affect the Emergency Exit breakout facility.
Key Lift Up Lock Gate - A small lock is secured by a key fitted to the barrel of the gate. The key prevents random access via the gate. The fitting of the lock does not affect the Emergency Exit breakout facility.
An option is available to fit a solenoid lock and remote alarm, details available on request. Standard arms are supplied (260mm deep) in lengths of 500mm-1000mm (in 50m increments).A Full Depth arm (767mm) is available with either a white or perspex infil panel for extra security. Manual breakout and reset is standard. Breakout will be in the opposite direction to opening. All gates are fitted on 1060mm uprights. To determine the size of arm measure the gap and if you require a single gate minus 150mm for a facing pair minus 250mm (e.g. 750mm gap -150mm = 600mm arm size). To determine whether a left or right handed gate is required imagine standing behind the supporting post and looking down the length of the arm. As someone walks through would the gate arm move through your left or your right quadrant? If through to the right you would require a right-handed gate.
The EDSUKBAP10 Alarmed Controlled Emergency Gate is used as an Emergency Exit Gate where emergency passage is in the same direction as the entry gates. It is typically found at either a closed checkout aisle or a Customer Service Desk, where the customer can exit if they have made no purchases.
The Alarmed Controlled Emergency Gate is designed to open through 90 degrees and return under spring tension. The gate can be utilised as a No Purchase Exit Gate and is controlled via a solenoid lock operated remotely by a member of staff. If anyone attempts to exit via the gate without it being released the alarm sounds and the light flashes. Power to the gate is requried via a 12v supply. Once opened the gate will close under spring tension and lock until a signal is received or the gate is pushed.
The Alarmed Controlled Emergency Gate has a body of mild steel in a chrome finish but can be powder coated in a RAL of your choice or be satin chrome. Standard arms are supplied from 500mm - 1000mm (in 50mm increments). Full depth arms (767mm) can be ordered for additional security with either a perspex or white infil panel. Manual breakout is available in case of emergency, in the direction of normal operation. Manual reset is required.

Column uprights and Cross rails are constructed from Mild Steel. Column uprights have a diameter of 48mm and the cross rails are 40mm. Standard height for the upright is 1060mm however other sizes are available 1165mm,1250mm, 1600mm & 2000mm. Cross rails are available in 1m, 1.5m, 2.0m and 2.5m and can be cut to suit site specific requirements. Rails and Uprights are available in Bright Chrome Plate, Polyester Powder Coated in a RAL of your choice,Stainless Steel and Satin Chrome.
Top Caps are available in Nylon or Aluminium and Connecting Cups are available in PVC or Aluminium. A wide variety of colours for the Top Caps and Connecting Cups are available and we can supply panel clips in a variety of plastic and aluminium finishes. We can supply infill panels of glass or acrylic which can be formed into barrier sections which are bespoke to your needs.
The EDSUKBAP14 is a custom built Swing Gate and can be customised to suit most applications, with vertical or horizontal tube infill panels, trombone "P" section infill to allow pictograms to be added (as per the chrome gates), glass infill (as pictured), blank panel or corporate logos or advertising space.
The EDSUKBAP14 can be finished in Stainless Steel, Mild Steel & Galvanised and/or powdercoated. Optional locking in the open/closed and middle positions can also be provided.
