EDS UK manufacture a range of manual lift, automatic and semi-automatic power poles and power post rising bollards. They can be populated with electrical outlets, water outlets or communications outlets. This makes them ideal for town centre environments, markets, shopping centre, shows, events, or anywhere temporary power is required but not left on show. The user simply lifts the lid, plugs in their power lead and switches on. One bollard/post can serve many outlets with custom built distribution boards for 20 or more outlets.
The units can be retracted at the press of a remote control keyring fob, a keypad or from a remote command centre such as a control room.
Rather than running in temporary power with the associated health & safety issues, the power poles and posts can be installed once and used when required. There are no limits to the amount of units that can be installed. Our rising power bollards are very popular and discreet as they simply pop up out of the ground.
With just the turn of a key, the bollard rises alone and locks automatically in the raised position. A push of the foot causes the bollard to retract and lock in the lowered position. Wires and extension cables are thus prevented from running on the ground, avoiding possible hazards. Robust design makes your energy supply completely vandal-proof. Stainless Steel Power Bollard EDSUKPB2

Static Power Bollard Post Column EDSUKPB5
The EDSUKPB5 static power column is ideal for environments where it’s not practical to install a recessed power bollard.
The lockable door on the power column prevents unauthorised use of the power sockets. A cutout on the door and post allows the door to be closed and secured while the sockets are in use, ensuring safety and protection against vandalism.
Fixed Energy Distribution Bollards EDSUKPB8
The fixed bollard for power supply has been designed to make multiple voltage connections easily. It is available as a single version (up to 6 sockets) or double version (up to 12 sockets). The options are a power supply version, water supply version and combination version.
The bollard is installed by fastening mason screws into a concrete slab. The waterproof level of the units protects the electrical components from oxidizing and bad contacts. Users are protected from electric shock. As an option it is possible to connect one or more sockets while keeping the door closed to avoid unauthorised connections. Made from cast steel and aluminium, this unit gives unequalled impact and vandal resistance.

Class Test Load (Tonnes) – Typical Uses
Minimum class A15: Areas which can only be used by pedestrians and pedal cyclists.
Minimum class B125: Footways, pedestrian areas, domestic driveways and comparable areas like car parks or parking decks.
Minimum class C250: Car parks and service stations. For gully grates installed in the area of kerbside channels for roads, extending a maximum of 500mm into the carriageway and a maximum of 200mm into the footway. For manhole covers this class would be for units needing to withstand a load of 25 tonnes. Non-rocking/silent type.
Minimum class D400: Carriageways (including pedestrian streets), hard shoulders, and parking areas for all types of road vehicles. Non-rocking/silent type.
Minimum class E600: Areas imposing high wheel loads, for example loading bays, docks and aircraft pavements.
Minimum class F900: Areas imposing particularly high wheel loads, for example ports and aircraft runways.
