Sliding Barrier – Sliding Traffic Barrier System

The sliding barrier is designed to prevent vehicle access through site entrances and roller shutters. Sliding barriers are a unique heavy duty security deterrent, which can be either manual or automatic. They are more secure than a rising conventional traffic barrier and less intrusive that a sliding gate. Our sliding barriers can cater for openings from 1 metre to large opening of up to 12 metres on a single beam. Larger barriers with doubles or special order barriers are also available.

The sliding barrier arm locks into the opening or closing posts, eliminating the possibility of the barrier arm being pulled out of its open or closed stops, with optional locking in both the open and closed position. One person can move the sliding barrier with ease, and it can be automated and controlled in a number of different ways; radio remote keyfob, keypad, token or coin controlled, or ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition).

McDonalds restaurants use our manual sliding high security barrier to enable them to close off the restaurant at night to prevent overnight parking and joyriders.
